BMS networks should always be connected to a buildings' data network to allow for full functionality and interfacing with other systems within a premises. With this integration in place, this allows for communication of devices through 3rd party protocols like BACnet, Modbus, M-Bus and KNX, leading to the control and monitoring of systems 'talking' to the BMS.
Should you need to monitor your premises remotely from another location, or need multiple buildings interconnected, this can be achieved through a fibre network providing the infrastructure.
